BATTLECORE: Armored Division
BATTLECORE is a top-down arcade tank shooter built with a focus on tactical progression and squad management. Clear hostile sectors, manage your mission budget, and upgrade your unit to survive higher-difficulty deployments.
Core Gameplay Loop
The game revolves around a high-stakes mission cycle. You are deployed into various sectors (Urban, Industrial, or Stealth) with specific objectives: eliminating hostiles, collecting data, or surviving extraction timers. Successful missions grant credits which are spent in the Hangar to permanently improve your tank or hire support.

- Systems Upgrade: Use earned War Funds to improve Nano-Plating (Health), Grav-Drives (Speed), and Plasma Coils (Damage).
- Mercenary Roster: You don't have to fight alone. Unlock and equip AI-controlled wingmen to assist in combat. Each mercenary can be customized with specific roles (Rusher, Heavy, Sniper) and team colors.
- Mission Briefings: Check intel before deploying. Different levels feature unique environmental hazards and enemy compositions, including cloaked Phantoms and Titan-class bosses.
Combat Features
- Dynamic Weaponry: Switch between standard Cannons, high-spread Shotguns, Heat-seeking Missiles, Tesla Coils, and Flamethrowers.
- Tactical Relay: Use the [T] key to request battlefield support, providing temporary shields or fire-rate buffs when overwhelmed.
- Varied Enemy AI: Encounter different unit types that utilize flanking maneuvers, long-range sniping, or repair drones to sustain their ranks.
- Radar Systems: Use the integrated HUD radar to track off-screen threats and objective markers in large 3200px maps.

Technical Info
BATTLECORE features procedural sound generation via Web Audio API and a custom physics engine for projectile collisions and environmental destruction. Developed for browser-based play with full responsive scaling.
